Litjob reads the job description and your CV, then writes a cover letter that connects your real experience to what the employer asked for. It comes with a CV tailored to the same job, and both are checked before you send.

Your first tailored application, with cover letter, is free. Edit every word before you use it.

## How the cover letter generator works

1. **Upload your CV once:** Litjob builds a career profile from your PDF, Word or text CV. Your cover letters draw on it, so you don’t start from scratch each time.
2. **Add the job description:** Paste a job link or the job description, choose one of your Litjob matches, save the job you’re viewing with the Chrome extension, or send it to Litjob on WhatsApp.
3. **Get a matching application:** Litjob writes a cover letter for that job and tailors your CV to it, so both tell the same story with the same keywords.
4. **Review, edit, download:** A Review score flags weak or unsupported points. Edit the letter in the built-in editor and download it as a PDF.

## Why use Litjob for cover letters

### Specific, not generic

Each letter refers to the role and the requirements in the job ad, and backs them with your own experience instead of stock phrases.

### Written with your tailored CV

Your CV and cover letter are created together for the same job, so they match and reinforce each other.

### Checked before you send

Review scores the application and points out unsupported claims, repetition and clarity issues you may want to fix.

### Always yours to edit

Change the tone, add a personal reason for applying, or rewrite a paragraph. Nothing is sent without you.

## Questions

### Is the cover letter generator free?

Your first tailored application, including the cover letter, CV and Review score, is free. After that, each tailored application uses 2 AI credits. Litjob Pro includes 40 credits a month for $19, or buy a credit pack from $5 (₦1,900) without a subscription.

### Can employers tell it was written with AI?

Generic AI letters are easy to spot. Litjob letters are built from your real experience and the specific job, and you should still add a personal touch, such as why this company appeals to you, before sending.

### Can I edit the cover letter?

Yes. Edit it in Litjob’s editor, then download it as a PDF or copy the text into an application form.

### Do I need a cover letter at all?

Not always, but when an application asks for one, or a job gets many applicants, a specific cover letter can be the reason a recruiter reads your CV closely.
