How it works

  1. 1

Paste your CV and the job ad

Copy the text of your CV (or résumé) and the full job description, including the requirements.

  2. 2

    See what’s missing

The checker finds the skills, tools, methods and certifications the job mentions, and shows which ones your CV already uses.

  3. 3

    Add what’s true for you

Work the missing keywords you genuinely have into your summary and bullet points, using the job’s own wording.

Questions

Is this an ATS score?

No. Every company sets up its applicant tracking system (ATS) differently, and no free tool can show your real score. This checker does what a simple ATS keyword filter does: it compares the job’s words with yours. Use it to spot gaps, not as a pass or fail.

Is my CV uploaded or stored?

No. The check runs entirely in your browser. Your CV and the job ad never leave your device, and nothing is saved when you close the page.

Should I add every missing keyword?

Only the ones that are true. Add them where they show real experience, ideally in a bullet point that says how you used the skill. Listing skills you don’t have tends to come out in the interview.

What does it count as a keyword?

Skills, tools, methods and certifications from a list of several hundred common ones across tech, data, product, design, marketing, sales, finance, HR and operations roles, plus acronyms and product names that appear in the job ad. Plurals and common variants count as matches, for example “MS Excel” for Excel.

Can Litjob fix my CV for me?

Yes. Litjob’s AI rewrites your CV for a specific job using your real experience, adds the job’s keywords where they apply, writes a cover letter, and checks both before you send. Your first tailored application is free.
