How these figures are made

  • We analysed 17,928 job ads posted in the last 90 days that Litjob collected from public job sources, mainly Adzuna (40%), Arbeitnow (33%), Jobicy (8%). Most are from the UK, the US and Europe, so they reflect those markets more than others.
  • Each percentage is the share of ads for that role that mention the skill at least once.
  • Roles are grouped from job titles. We remove duplicate ads, leave out roles with fewer than 300 ads, and look at up to 4,000 recent ads per role.
  • Skills are matched as whole words from a list of about 300 skills, tools and certifications. Ads written in languages other than English are under-counted.
  • Jobs people add to their own Litjob accounts are never included.
